Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder
Craig Kasten leads SKYGEN USA in bringing next-generation claims management and technology tools together for healthcare organizations interacting with benefits. Mr. Kasten is an accomplished leader whose career in the managed healthcare industry spans 30 years. He is the founder or co-founder of several SKYGEN USA companies, including Wonderbox Technologies, Scion Dental, Vestica Healthcare, American Therapy Administrators and Hylis Pharmacy Solutions. He also co-founded Doral Dental USA and grew the company to a market-dominant position before its sale to DentaQuest Ventures.
Mr. Kasten continues to provide vision, strategic direction and creative support for functional design innovations to the Enterprise System, Wonderbox Technologies’ proprietary benefit management platform. He also provides oversight and strategic direction for new service innovations for Scion Dental and Vestica Healthcare.
Prior to launching his entrepreneurial career, Mr. Kasten served concurrently as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of CareNetwork, Inc., a publicly traded regional health plan later acquired by Humana. Mr. Kasten holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin.
Mr. Kasten was honored as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2003. In 2005, he was named a Distinguished Alumnus by the Marquette University School of Business Administration.
Chief Executive Officer
Known as an innovator in the benefit management industry, Greg Borca has co-founded and led several successful companies, including Doral Dental USA, Scion Dental, Vestica Healthcare and Hylis Pharmacy Solutions. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Borca is responsible for the overall direction and growth of the SKYGEN USA Family of Companies.
Mr. Borca’s business experience and leadership expertise have enabled him to pioneer more effective strategies for benefit management. By pairing state-of-the-art technology with innovative business models, he has drastically reduced costs while improving the overall experience for members and providers. He has also driven the creation of innovative outreach tactics that increase member access to care. The SKYGEN USA companies under Mr. Borca’s leadership have expanded rapidly into positions of market leadership.
Mr. Borca’s entrepreneurial career began when he founded Resolute Systems, Inc., a national mediation and arbitration company. Before he partnered with Mr. Kasten to create Doral Dental, one of the largest benefit management companies in the U.S., he also founded Mednet of America, Inc.
Mr. Borca holds a Bachelor’s in Organization and Leadership from Marquette University. He serves on the national board for Voices for America’s Children, an organization that advocates for the well-being of children at the federal, state and local levels of government.
Mr. Borca was named an Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003 by Ernst & Young. In 2004 he was named on The Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list. In 2011 he received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from Marquette University’s College of Professional Studies.
Chief Growth Officer
As SKYGEN USA’s Chief Growth Officer, Lance Stewart is a champion for the company’s technology-enabled solutions, bringing new and innovative products and services to existing clients and markets as well as exploring new opportunities created by the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. He is focused on helping payers and delivery systems transform their organizations by taking advantage of everything from large enterprise administration and technology initiatives to individual point solutions that solve specific needs. With his strong commitment to exemplary client service and collaborative approach to both internal and external relationships, Mr. Stewart has a demonstrated ability to help players in the healthcare continuum grow their businesses while reducing costs, improving operations, and serving their members more effectively.
Mr. Stewart has an extensive background in helping organizations add new customers, enter new markets, and launch new products and services. He joins SKYGEN USA from Medecision, a leading software as a service (SaaS) population health and risk management company, where he was Senior Vice President and Market President. Prior to that, he held positions as Vice President at GNS Healthcare; Vice President, Healthcare Payers, Providers, and Infomediaries at eMids Technologies; and Senior Sales Executive at McKesson Health Solutions.
Mr. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Tulsa. He has also served in leadership roles for multiple healthcare associations, such as America Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and HIMSS, to drive improvements and innovation across payers, providers, and their constituencies.
Vice President of Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Alice Sanem delivers client and member satisfaction by ensuring Vestica Healthcare meets its key performance metrics. She is responsible for overseeing all company operations, including claims processing, utilization review, provider reimbursement and customer service. Ms. Sanem is also focused on enhancing client value through automation and improved efficiencies.
Ms. Sanem brings more than 17 years of experience in accounting and systems implementation to her role. Before joining Vestica Healthcare, she served as accounting manager for Boelter Companies, where her responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of accounting, human resources, and payroll activities.
Ms. Sanem is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Ms. Sanem is an active participant at Mended Little Hearts of Milwaukee, an organization that supports families affected by pediatric congenital heart disease.
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations for Vestica Healthcare, Kate Willhite is dedicated to helping Medicaid and commercial payers decrease their cost of benefit delivery by improving operational efficiencies. With her proven track record in alternative payment models such as bundled payments, she is helping the company give its clients the means to take advantage of the burgeoning opportunities being created by healthcare reform. Ms. Willhite is also a key player in Vestica Healthcare’s efforts to offer additional service lines that help payers operationalize payment reform initiatives.
Ms. Willhite has demonstrated a passion for driving operational improvement in healthcare organizations throughout her career, and has proven her leadership skills while applying healthcare value principles to operations, contracting, provider services, the revenue cycle, and resource management. Prior to joining Vestica Healthcare, she was Executive Director at Blount Orthopedic Associates, where she negotiated payer contracts and was responsible for the daily operations management of the organization. She also served as Director of Payer Contracting and later as Vice President, Employer Services (leased to Aurora Health Care) at BayCare Health Systems. Her experience also includes positions as Executive Director at Orthopedic Associates/Manitowoc Surgery Center/Expert Therapy and Practice and Quality Service Improvement Director/Consultant with Group Health Cooperative.
Ms. Willhite holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and Quality from Marian College of Fond du Lac.
